Board Approves New Policy: Who Speaks for the LWVCT and the LWVCTEF The President (or a Co-President) of the League of Women Voters of Connecticut are the sole authorized spokespeople for the organization. No other person shall be authorized to release documents, give permission to quote, or clarify advocacy positions. Any person who requests League comment, use of League documents, and/or League “endorsement” must be referred directly to the President or Co-Presidents. Exception to this rule includes the authorization for the VP Public Issues to act within previously approved policies. The President (or a Co-President) may designate a spokesperson such as VP Public Issues or designated Specialist to represent the League and its positions. Approved 1-10-06 |
