Web Services for Local Leagues
-
Each local League in Connecticut is provided with an
email alias at our domain lwvct.org, e.g. LWVAmity@lwvct.org. The email
sent to the alias is automatically forwarded to current President of the
local League by our provider. The advantage of an alias is that it can be
redirected each time officers change guaranteeing that publicized addresses
remain current.
-
Space on our website at
www.lwvct.org is reserved on our website for any local League that wants
to use.
-
Local League Website pages will be created by
the Webmaster (webmaster@lwvct.org) from submitted electronic files. Send your
information in a word-processing file or attachment or if that is impossible
as the body of an email message, and the Webmaster will post your matter on
your website. These submissions will be integrated into our
website development software. Handwritten or faxed
information will not be posted on the website.
-
Bulletin Board. Local league’s events will be
posted at the LWVCT’s Bulletin Board upon request. Information for each
event must be sent electronically.
Restrictions:
-
If your file is incompatible with our web development
software, it cannot be posted.
-
The Webmaster will not honor requests by local Leagues
to post information about non-league events.
-
The Webmaster will not post your files outside of your
local League’s webpages (Bulletin Board excepted) unless your request is
preapproved by a President or the VP – Communications.
-
Pages posted on any portion of the League’s website are
subject to compliance with all LWVCT policies.
