To lift your spirits, in the face of war and disease, become an armchair traveler and visit our new updated website, http://www.tci-travel.com. Sarah has given it a brand new look! Let us know what you think! You can search for upcoming tours by departure date or destination. Many preliminary itineraries are posted now, and more will be added from time to time, so just bookmark our site for the latest offerings.
The newest addition is the Travel Photo Album, which can be accessed from the menu on the left side of the home page. A few pictures are posted, but there are more on the OFOTO website. The albums are organized according to country and tour. Scroll down to the destination you'd like to visit and "Click here". You'll be rerouted to OFOTO.com. Each person who enters must set up his or her own account and password. You don't need to buy anything! It is simply a way to view pictures and comments by travelers.
Would you like to meet some of the wonderful people who travel with us? You can - through our Travel Photo Album. If you are one of our past travelers, have a look. You may see yourself or your friends. This is just a start. If you have pictures taken on one of our tours which you'd like to share, please send digital pictures to us (as attachments). We can also scan regular snapshots here and upload them to the website. Be sure to add information about the picture (where it was taken, when, who are the subjects). We expect to soon add more pictures and thoughts about the trips to Ethiopia, Prague and Budapest, Costa Rica and Patagonia.
In the future, we expect to have pictures available to friends and family of those who are traveling. Won't that be fun? We still need to find a way to send pictures stored in personal digital cameras across the Internet. If anyone is a techie out there and would like to share advice, please let me know.
After visiting OFOTO, please return to our website and let us know what you think! If you'd like a complete brochure of any of the destinations, we'll gladly send one through the mail. More easily and exponentially faster, we can send a PDF of the tour brochure, complete with pictures, information about flights and of course the reservation form and more. It is just like a brochure you would receive through the mail. So, be sure and let us know if you can receive PDF's.
We're working on the next issue of the Placerville Post, which will contain the destinations, and dates of tours coming up in the next year.
