What is the League of Women Voters?

 

The League of Women Voters, is a non-partisan political organization which encourages informed & active participation in government.  It works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, & influences public policy through education & advocacy.

 

What has the  League Accomplished?

ü       Provided public forums   exploring the pros & cons of complex issues such as health care, welfare reform, gambling, school vouchers, the death penalty, charter revision,  & the environment.
