Join the League of Women Voters in your area!
We are always looking for men and women who wish to join the League team and work for steady and transparent improvements in municipal and state government. We welcome your perspective, experience, energy, expertise, initiative, and links to your community. Be as involved and active in League activities as you want -- there is no required time commitment.
When you join, you'll become a more informed member of your community and have a greater say in the laws you live by. You'll receive League publications from our local, state and national offices, and you'll work with others who share your interest in effective government and who want to make a difference. You will find friends and social activities in the League.
Find the Nearest League
If there is no League in your area, you may join as a Member at Large. When there are enough Members at Large in a geographic area, you may form a new Local League. Click here for the League Directory.
Dues
Local Leagues set their dues according to their objectives for the coming year, thus, dues may be different from League to League. A significant part of each member’s dues goes to support League work on the state and the national levels.
Application Form
Please note that membership dues and contributions to LWVCT are not deductible as charitable contributions for tax purposes. Contributions to the LWVCT Education Fund are tax deductible and much appreciated.

- Download and complete the Membership Application.
- Look up your Local League's dues, and
- Mail your application and check payable to "LWVCT" to
LWVCT, 1890 Dixwell Avenue, Suite 203, Hamden, CT 06514-3183.
