Transit Bill HB5734 Passes House, Calls Needed to Senators 5/5/08

HB 5734, AAC New and Expanded Bus Services Throughout Connecticut, passed the House today.  It reallocates $5 million in last year's bonding bill to be used to purchase vehicles and equipment needed to improve bus transit in the state.  The bill now goes to the Senate.  LWVCT and our coalition partner Transit for CT are asking that calls be made to your senator and Sens. Williams, Looney, McKinney and DeFronzo to urge their support of HB 5734.
