Transit for Connecticut - HB 5734 to go to House Floor! Final push is needed!
On April 30, the Finance Committee approved the use of $5 million in capital funding for the Buses for 21st Century Mobility Program to increase bus service across the state. While this is less than the amount that we requested, the $5 million will allow for the purchase of approximately 20 vehicles needed to improve bus service. HB 5734, AAC New and Expanded Bus Transportation Service Throughout Connecticut, now goes to the floor of the House. PLEASE CALL YOUR LEGISLATORS and ask for their support. In these final days of the session, legislators need to hear from constituents on bills that are of importance to them. We know for a fact that calls make the difference!
