The League of Women Voters of
Connecticut urges your support of SB 607 An Act
Concerning The Identification Of Certain Firearms And The Criminal Possession Of
Firearms. This act is in keeping with
the League's long standing position regarding gun control. It is hard to
understand how any legitimate gun owner can object to microstamping in order to
link a gun to a crime scene. The act would not restrict the rights of people to
own guns, nor would it take guns away from those who own them. Microstamping
would, however, be a valuable tool in apprehending criminals.
