CALL OR EMAIL THE SENATE MAJORITY LEADER AND THE CO-CHAIRS OF THE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE TODAY AND ASK THEM TO SUPPORT SB 123 AA CONCERNING THE IDLING OF MOTOR VEHICLES.
Co-Chairs are Senator Andrew McDonald and Representative Michael Lawlor Contact them at: Mcdonald@senatedems.ct.gov or 1-800 –842-1420 mlawlor99@juno.com or 1-800 –842-8267
The Senate Majority Leader of the General Assembly is Senator Martin Looney: Looney@senatedems.ct.gov or 1-800-842-1420
Tell them that Connecticut has some of the worst air quality in the country and that SB 123 provides an enforcement mechanism for the current no-idling law and therefore will be a major step forward towards reducing vehicular pollution. The inclusion of reasonable exemptions is an important step forward for those who are concerned that citizens will be unfairly penalized. By making unnecessary idling an infraction, the public will become aware that there is a law that prohibits idling. Enforcing the current law will be a major step forward in regulating and controlling air pollution in Connecticut.
