Who We Are:

The League of Women Voters of the Bridgeport Area has four divisions: Bridgeport, Monroe, Stratford, and Trumbull.  Our activities are scheduled on a July 1 – June 30 fiscal-year basis.  Membership costs $50 per year ($25 for second household members), with a special introductory rate of $35 for first-time members who have never been in a League before.  The Board meets once a month except in the summer, and the League as a whole has general meetings as scheduled.

The primary focus of the LWV Bridgeport Area is voter service.  Every year we schedule candidates’ debates and forums in each of our four towns, and we publish Directories of Public Officials for all four on the web; print versions (for Bridgeport, Stratford, and Trumbull) are distributed to the public via the towns’ libraries and town/city halls.
